Baseball lets one slip away from Buckeyes.

Ack. Still figuring out who can get what done on the mound. I feel like the weekend starters are good, but I was hoping Chunksheik really had it figured out and he got hit around on Sunday, but it seems to get pretty random on what you're getting when you get to the pen. Bickerstaff has been good, but got hit yesterday; Dell has been good in the past, but seems to not be back from his injury. I don't know...should have won yesterday.

Nice win yesterday as the bat failed, but Cruiksheik and Scott absolutely shut down BG and Kent gets a 1-0 win. Mitchell Scott has been a valuable addition to the club coming to Kent as a grad student after pitching for 4 years at Cal. His ERA is now a miniscule 0.81 as he earned his 4th save of the season.

This is kind of what I was hoping for out of the Friday starter and hopefully the offense wakes up a bit over the weekend against the #2 and #3 starters for BG.

And the offense wakes up with 4 HRs and Kent wins 10-1.

And Kent completes the sweep with a 4-2 win. Mitchell Scott came through, coming in with the bases loaded and no outs in the 8th and only allows one run to score.

While I know it won't happen this way, the MAC is so bad we really shouldn't lose another game until the final series of the season.

Knocked off Pitt 5-2 today

Well, if you don't like Akron, which I think some folks here don't, you'll be excited to know that Kent is up 16-0 on Akron in the 7th. Akron has hit 9 Kent batters, which I have to wonder if that is some kind of record.

Final: 23-3. I feel like this is one of my basketball score predictions, except it came true.

So two TDs and three FGs while holding them to only one fg? Shame we kept stalling in the RedZone or we could've really run it up on them.

Many lightning delays today, but a 3-0 win against Akron. Akron only hit 4 Kent batters in this game.

Zips live up to their name by taking zip of three this weekend

Timing hitting by Collin Mathews, singling home two runs in the 8th, stealing second and scoring on a single and solid relief pitching giving up just 1 run in 5 2/3 innings. Aiden Longwell missed the cycle by a double (4 for 5 with a triple and homer). Very nice overall outing when the starting pitcher didn't have his best stuff.

They’re still learning the game, they heard the object is to get as many hits as possible, they didn’t know it was supposed to be the batters hitting the ball and not their pitchers hitting our batsmen.

I can’t remember. Will there be a MAC tournament this year or does 1st place get an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament?

They played a 4 team tournament last year but per the MAC website nothing is scheduled this year. I can’t find any definitive statement anywhere. Softball is having a tournament in May for what that is worth.

On the MAC website, if you scroll down the baseball schedule, you’ll see the MAC Tournament 5/24-27.
